Palisade winery Red Fox Cellars announces it will close (Daily Sentinel)

Red Fox Cellars, a Palisade winery, is closing its doors after more than a decade in business it announced in an email Thursday from owner Scott W. Hamilton.
“It is with mixed emotions that we announce the closure of Red Fox Cellars,” Hamilton said. “After careful consideration, we have decided to cease operations and begin the process of liquidating our remaining bottled wine inventory and merchandise.”
Red Fox Cellars opened in 2014 and was named the Colorado Winery of the year by the Colorado Association of Viticulture and Enology in 2017. Hamilton touted some of the innovations his winery brought to Colorado like spirit barrel-aged wines and hard ciders and their wine/cider cocktails.
